Born and raised in Greenwood, SC, Justin has had an interesting journey to becoming an Investment Associate at Greenwood Capital. While earning a B.S. in biology from Erskine College, and an M.S. in molecular and human genetics with an emphasis in bioinformatics from Baylor College of Medicine, Justin discovered a passion for the investment industry. Justin has pursued this passion by completing his Investment Foundation Certification and is currently a Chartered Financial Analyst® Level II candidate for 2019. He is also an investment adviser representative.
In his role, Justin performs sector analysis, conducts fixed income and equity research, and maintains the data in various Investment Manager research databases, such as Evestment, PSN/Informa, Morningstar, and others. As each company has a different story, he finds watching them transform over time exciting.
