Justin R. Bartanus
Research Analyst
Born and raised in Greenwood, SC, Justin has had an interesting journey to becoming an analyst at Greenwood Capital. He earned his B.S. in biology from Erskine College and an M.S. in molecular and human genetics with an emphasis in bioinformatics from Baylor College of Medicine. While pursuing his doctorate, Justin discovered a passion for the investment industry and pivoted his career to become an analyst. He joined Greenwood Capital in 2018, where he applies his logical approach and aptitude for research to the Investment team’s asset selection process.
In his role, Justin performs sector analysis, conducts fixed income and equity research, and maintains the data in various Investment Manager research databases, such as Evestment, PSN/Informa, Morningstar, and others. As each company has a different story, he finds watching them transform over time exciting. Justin has his Investment Foundation Certification and is also an investment adviser representative.
