Melissa’s top priority is to serve her clients proactively, such that they call her when faced with opportunities and financial decisions. In her role as a Senior Private Client Advisor, Melissa provides personal attention and service to high-net-worth individuals, personal trusts, and foundations. She enjoys building relationships and is honored to come alongside her clients during their most difficult circumstances, as well as to celebrate with them during their happiest times.
Melissa has been in the financial industry for more than 30 years. She joined Greenwood Capital in 2013 and is a Principal of the firm. Prior to joining the team, she led the financial planning division of Countybank, specializing in creating and implementing complex financial plans for high net worth families and individuals.
She received her B.S. from Lander University and is a graduate of the Southeastern Trust School at Campbell University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Personal Financial Specialist, and a Chartered Financial Consultant®.
Additionally, Melissa serves on the Grants Committee of Greenville Women Giving and is a past president and active board member of The Arts Center of Greenwood. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the SC Association of CPAs. She also serves on the Board of the SC Financial Planning Association.
