Colin J. Burns

In his role as an Associate Advisor, Colin supports senior advisors and nurtures client relationships as part of the team’s holistic approach to wealth management. Colin is passionate about helping people attack the challenges in their financial journey in order to create better and brighter financial futures. His passion for building strong relationships is matched only by his dedication to ensuring each client has what they need to succeed.

Colin joined Greenwood Capital after graduating with his MBA from Roanoke College, where he also worked as a graduate assistant for the Maroon basketball team. He is registered as an investment adviser representative is currently working towards the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation.

Born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, Colin attended St. Mary’s and St. Joseph’s Catholic Schools and has remained active in both communities. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration with a Concentration in Finance from Roanoke College, where he also played for the basketball team. In keeping with his love of the sport, Burns coaches middle-school basketball on the weekends.
