Hope Springs Eternal
Walter Todd on World Business Report

October 29, 2025 – BBC World Business Report

Walter Todd appeared on BBC World Business Report to discuss the new hope surrounding the U.S.–China trade talks and the rapid growth of OpenAI-driven markets. He discussed how investors are betting on a positive outcome because both the United States and China hold leverage, as China controls rare earth minerals and the United States is a key export market. Walter also discussed Microsoft’s stake in OpenAI’s shift to a for-profit model, explaining the difference between rapidly increasing market share and limited profits. While the outlook is positive, he cautions that the market should still take a volatile turn if expectations falter.
