Colin J. Burns Joins Greenwood Capital Team

GREENVILLE S.C. – Greenwood Capital is pleased to announce the addition of Colin J. Burns to the wealth team as an Associate Advisor in the Downtown Greenville office, located at 201 W. McBee Ave. In this role, Burns will be supporting senior advisors and nurturing client relationships as part of the team’s holistic approach to wealth management. He is focused on Greenwood Capital’s overarching goal of guiding clients through their financial lives and supporting every stage of their journey.

Burns joined the firm after graduating with his MBA from Roanoke College, where he also worked as a graduate assistant for the Maroon basketball team. He is registered as an investment adviser representative and is currently working towards the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation.

In his new role, Burns is dedicated to ensuring each client has the tools they need to succeed. He said, “I am excited to help people attack the challenges in their financial journey in order to create better and brighter financial futures.”

Burns’ addition to the team is a testament to Greenwood Capital’s continued growth as the firm expands services across the Upstate. According to Walter B. Born and raised in Greenville, Burns attended St. Mary’s and St. Joseph’s Catholic Schools and has remained active in both communities. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration with a Concentration in Finance from Roanoke College, where he also played for the basketball team. In keeping with his love of the sport, Burns coaches middle-school basketball on the weekends.
