Williams joins the firm with a year of experience in the financial field at a previous firm after earning his bachelor’s degree from Presbyterian College and his MBA from USC – Aiken. In his role as Associate Advisor, he provides support to senior advisors and nurtures client relationships as part of the team’s holistic approach to wealth management. Williams chose to join the team because he “wanted to work with like-minded people [he] could learn and grow from.” He said, “Everyone is incredibly knowledgeable, always willing to help, and goes the extra mile with any questions I have or in helping clients. I feel like we leave no stone unturned in what we’re able to offer our clients.”

Williams’ addition to the team is a testament to Greenwood Capital’s continued growth as the firm builds on four decades of service to the Greenwood community. According to Walter B. Todd, President and CIO, “Our firm has grown from three employees to over twenty in the past forty years. Each addition has been strategic to make sure our clients receive compassionate and personalized service. Brandon’s addition to the team will help us continue to provide in-depth financial planning with a global perspective to our community.”

Williams was born and raised in Tinley Park, Illinois. In 2019, he moved to South Carolina, where he played Division I baseball and spent two seasons as team captain while earning his degree. He is registered as an investment adviser representative and is currently working towards the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. In his free time, Williams enjoys spending time with his wife and two rescue dogs, Loki and Luna.
